Lisa was amazing with our dog Leia. She was extremely patient with Leia who is very hesitant and anxious with new people. We learned a lot of new training techniques from Lisa to help Leia with her anxiety and simple commands daily inside and outside. Leia walks so much better with the harness she recommended and listens to our new simple commands much better. She was great to work with!

Lisa is an amazing dog trainer! She is great with my 1 year old pitbull and he absolutely loves her! Lisa helped Nico learn how to play with others dogs, and obey commands like sit and stay. Lisa also works with him on not jumping on people when they come to the door. She has taught our family a lot about how to continue the training at home. We are extremely happy with her work. We highly recommend Lisa!

Meet Lisa

I have loved and trained dogs all of my life.In my early years, I learned from my father, who was a believer in using force to train a dog. I didn't like how it seemed to create fear in the dogs - but didn't know how to do it differently.  My world - and method of training changed after I  adopted my Lab mix Jenna. We had so much fun together! I wanted to train her in a better way, and found Catch Canine Trainers Academy online. I decided to change careers, and graduated from their Master Class course. Below is a list of highlights of subjects covered.
1. Safe and effective handling of dogs for shelters, daycares, and training situations
2. Dog developmental stages from puppy to adulthood
3. Basic heath routines and disease prevention
4. Behavior evaluation/temperament testing
5. Basic and advanced obedience training
6. Pros and cons of equipment and training tools
7. Learning theory, classical and operant conditioning
8. Behavior problem solving
9. Creating effective training plans for individual or group lessons
